As Founder and Lead Designer of Black Robin Garden Design, Robyn has a natural ability to understand her clients' aspirations, often helping them uncover and articulate what they truly want from their outdoor space. Her strength lies in translating those ideas into beautifully resolved gardens that feel like a seamless extension of the home — balancing lifestyle, architecture and landscape in equal measure.
Trained at both the Inchbald School of Design and the London College of Garden Design, Robyn combines expertise in spatial planning, hard landscaping, planting design and construction detailing with over six years' experience in the design and delivery of residential gardens. This breadth of knowledge allows her to guide projects with clarity and confidence from concept through to completion.
Alongside her residential work, Robyn has also project managed a major ecological report for the Science Directorate at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew — further deepening her understanding of ecology, biodiversity and the importance of designing gardens that positively contribute to the wider environment.

At Inchbald, Robyn was awarded a Diploma in Garden Design with Distinction, developing a comprehensive understanding of spatial planning, hard landscaping, construction principles, and the relationship between architecture and landscape.
To deepen her expertise further, Robyn went on to study Planting Design at the London College of Garden Design, refining her knowledge of plant selection, composition, seasonality and ecological sensitivity.
Working alongside our practice are a number of independent landscape contractors, who provide the skills, knowledge and expertise for all of your hard landscaping requirements.
